Athletics Carnival – Wednesday, 29 July 2020
Tomorrow, Wednesday 29 July 2020, the College will be holding our annual Athletics Carnival at Queen Elizabeth Park Casino. This is a compulsory school day and as such all students are expected to attend.
Students are to come to school dressed in their house colours/sports uniform. At 8.45am students will go to homeroom and have their names marked off. They will then catch buses from the College to QE Park. There is no cost for the buses as it is covered in the students’ school fees.
At the carnival, students will sit in designated house areas. Events will be announced over the PA system as well as signposted around the grounds. Students are able to nominate for all events on the day, except for the 400m which was nominated for during house meetings this morning.
A canteen will be operating, and the Year 12 students will be holding a cake stall and selling pizzas as well.
Unfortunately due to COVID-19 restrictions, no parents or spectators are allowed to attend the carnival.
Should students need to leave the carnival early, they will need a signed permission note from parents/carers outlining the reason for their early departure. Parents are to wait outside the gate to collect their children.
Students will catch buses back to the College by 3pm, in time to catch buses home at the end of the school day.
